16.04.2021 - BREAKING NEWS: The reopening can happen faster than initially agreed upon!

The political leaders have been negotiating during the night, and have agreed to push things further ahead when it comes to the reopening of Denmark.


These reopenings will be in effect from the 21st of April, so next Wednesday, and there will also be a gradual lifting of the upper limit to the small/private assembly ban.

Bullets:

  1. The small/private assembly ban limit will gradually be eased, with the intended complete removal happening by the 1st of August.

  2. Restaurants, cafés, bars etc. can also do indoor service with the mandatory use of the corona passport and pre-booked seating. Outdoor service will no longer require the use of the corona passport.

  3. Museums, knowledge-sharing activity centres like Experimentarium, art galleries and libraries can reopen with the mandatory use of the corona passport.

  4. Graduating pupils in elementary school and juvenile and adult educations can have 80 % attendance, while vocational educations can fully reopen.

  5. Spectators will be allowed to return to the higher levels of football, with sections of 500, the use of the corona passport, and registration of spectators.

  6. Association activities, music- and cultural schools, as well as other art schools for young and children under 18, can also reopen with an assembly limit of 25 people. Singing activities cannot reopen.

Below is a more in-detail list of which areas/sectors can reopen from Wednesday the 21st of April:


Phases of removing the small/private assembly ban limits

  • Phase 1 - 21st of April: 10 people indoor, 50 outdoor.

  • Phase 2 - 6th of May: 25 indoor, 75 outdoor.

  • Phase 3 - 21st of May: 50 indoor, 100 outdoor.

  • Phase 4 - 11th of June: 100 indoor, complete removal of an upper limit outdoor.

  • Phase 5 - 1st of August: complete removal of the assembly ban in private auspice.


Restaurants, cafés, shopping centres, public institutions etc.

  • Restaurants, cafés, taverns and bars can now have indoor service as well. This will be allowed with the mandatory use of the corona passport and pre-booked tables. The corona passport won't be necessary for outdoor service. Indoor service will entail a requirement of two square meters per person for sitting service, and four square meters if you're primarily standing up. The last drink can be served at 22, and in-house dining must be closed from 23 to 5 the next morning.

  • The large shopping centres above 15.000 square meters can open fully with space requirements.

  • Museums, knowledge-sharing activity centres like Experimentarium, art galleries and libraries can reopen with the mandatory use of the corona passport.

  • The recommendations for indoor sermons and other religious activities will be eased. Currently, they can only last 30 minutes and must be done without common singing.


Education

  • Graduating pupils in elementary school and juvenile and adult educations can have 80 % attendance, while vocational educations can fully reopen. This part of the reopening will be geographically differentiated and includes the entire country, with the exception of the capital region - Region Hovedstaden (Bornholm has already fully reopened).

  • 5.-8. grade can get outdoor education in the weeks where they don't have access to indoor education.

  • Students at higher educations (university etc.) can now show up 30 % of the time and can use outdoor areas for educational purposes. This part of the reopening will be geographically differentiated and includes the entire country, with the exception of the capital region - Region Hovedstaden (Bornholm has already fully reopened).

  • Day People's Colleges, including senior colleges, can open with test requirements similar to the test model used elsewhere in the educational sector.


Sport and associational activities

  • Spectators will be allowed to return to the stadiums in Superligaen, Kvindeligaen, 1. and 2. Division, the Cup finals for men and women, as well as for matches at the national team level for men and women. This must happen with clearly divided sections with no more than 500 spectators in each, and with the mandatory use of the corona passport. All spectators must also be registered in case of infection tracking if the need arises.

  • Association activities, music- and cultural schools, as well as other art schools for young and children under 18, can also reopen with an assembly limit of 25 people. Singing activities cannot reopen.

  • Organised indoor sport for young and children under 18 will be allowed for all sports with an assembly limit of 25 people, without the need for the corona passport. This assembly limit also includes sports activities, where people above 18 are participating if their presence is required for the safety of the activities.

  • For people above 70 will the limit be 10 people, with the mandatory use of the corona passport.
