  • The Ministry of Business has clarified its recommendations about avoiding special offers for shopping centres. ‘Special offers’ are queue-offers, which gathers a lot of people. Normal offers can still be part of advertising, as long as they are attempting to avoid offers that will make people gather in large quantities, says the Ministry.

  • When restaurants and cafées are allowed to reopen the 18th of May, it should be possible for them to use certain outdoor road-areas, according to the Minister of Transport, Benny Engelbrecht. He has made the municipalities aware of a paragraph in the road-bill, which allows outdoor service on various areas normally under the jurisdiction of the road-bill – such as parking spots, parts of normally trafficked roads, and various open squares.

  • A large part of the Danish high school students won’t return to school before after the summer break, says the Ministry of Children and Education. To keep the motivation going for the students there has been allocated 5 million kroner, which is intended to, inter alia, finance conversations between teachers and students about everything from homework to how the young people are dealing with their everyday life.

  • Socialistisk Folkeparti wants to extend the maternity leave for those, who’s maternity leave is ending after the 1st of May, until the 1st of September – for those who want to use this opportunity. The idea behind the proposal is to take off some of the pressure of daycare institutions, who are already struggling with the various precaution measures associated with the coronavirus.

The number has been dropping since the 25th of April and has been stable at 0.7 the last week, according to new numbers from the SSI. The agency is expecting the number to rise with the second phase of the reopening though. The main reason for this drop is that the Danes are taking their precautions, and exercising proper hygiene.
