The interest organisation for these producers DiaLab is wondering why the authorities have been bypassing the normal distribution chains when the Danish Medicines Agency announced the 5th of March that distributors of medical equipment “first and foremost prioritise the Danish healthcare system”. Instead, they say, there has been purchased tests and equipment in China, as well as received donations of specific equipment for millions of kroner. The Minister of Health, Magnus Heunicke (S) says, that the process during the corona-crisis has shown a need for improvements.

  • The number of new hospitalisations has been rising two days in a row, and the 17 new hospitalised on the 15th of May was the highest number since the 2nd of May. The number of newly hospitalised has otherwise generally been falling. The total amount of hospitalised is continuously dropping.

  • The ward of urinal surgery at Lillebælt Hospital in Vejle has been struck by an outbreak of corona-infection among patients and employees. 7 patients have been infected, for now, as well as 14 employees. This outbreak has led Region Syddanmark to discuss whether the procedure for vulnerable patients needs to be changed.
